IM&T Training - Desktop Applications
Our IM&T Desktop Training Team possesses vast experience and knowledge in the delivery of desktop training. These days virtually everyone who works in the NHS is required to use one or more of the Microsoft Office applications. People using modern clinical health care systems require skills which come as much from understanding the basics required to use them as the specialist knowledge embedded in them. These skills can be delivered by our experienced NHS trainers, all of whom have a Certificate in Education qualification or higher, a range of IT qualifications and all of them are Microsoft Certified Trainers.
We have purpose built training suites in Halifax, Huddersfield, Castleford and Wakefield. Training can be tailored to suit the needs of your service; this can include tutor led classroom based training, 1:1 tutorials, workplace training, drop-in workshops, lectures, floor-walking or identifying and training staff to become Super Users so that they can cascade training to other staff. All courses are accredited through either the NHS Essential IT Skills programme or the Department of Health’s Microsoft Office Skills Training (MOST) programme. At present access to all course materials, practice exams and final exams is free to all NHS staff.
We offer courses leading to recognised qualifications, which include:-
• NHS Elite basic IT skills
• Microsoft Office Specialist Core
• Microsoft Office Specialist Expert
• ‘e-type’ - a keyboarding skills training programme.
All courses and qualifications use the major Microsoft office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Support can also be offered in Access, Visio, Project, SharePoint and Publisher. We are also able to train to Microsoft Office versions including 2003, 2007 and 2010 and in Windows 7.
