Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is a globally recognised performance-based certification that validates the skills needed to get the most out of Microsoft Office. It helps organisations to achieve the growing demand of a qualified, knowledgeable, effective and efficient workforce.
Once enrolled, delegates will gain access to online learning, a practice exam and an invigilated exam. A tutor will be available for support throughout the learning process.
What is Microsoft Office?
THIS is proud to be a Microsoft Office specialist. We utilise the full suite of Microsoft Office apps to maximise the ability of teams to work together, share knowledge, insight and feedback.
Microsoft Office 365 for healthcare is a widely used tool of choice that enables healthcare professionals to work productively and securely from anywhere, and on multiple devices.

Study with us
We offer two Microsoft Office development opportunities – qualifications in Microsoft 365 Apps or Office 2019 MOS.
Both qualifications include new Microsoft Office features such as:
- 3D models
- Morph Animations
- Slide Zoom
- New Excel Functions
- Ink
Both qualifications have been mapped to one set of revised objective domains to reflect the skills required in today’s modern workplace. Learners are tested on the same exam no matter which Microsoft Office application is being used.
A new feature of the MOS programme is the introduction of two levels – Associate and Expert:

You will still achieve a certification for each exam you pass.
However, if you manage to gain any of the three of the four available Associates certifications you will become a MOS Associate.
If you would like to advance even further and gain your Associate Certification and any two of the three available expert certifications you will become a MOS Expert, the highest certification within the Microsoft Office Specialist Programme.
How do I study for a MOS qualification?
The online course uses training software that can be safely downloaded onto an entrant’s computer. There is access to a comprehensive study guide for each module that supports the learning required.
All courses require self-study, and it is recommended that entrants complete one subject at a time. Entrants already experienced in using Microsoft Office products, could take the certification exam after completing just the e-practice questions and the e-practice exams.
Each course takes 10-15 hours to study, depending on prior experience of Microsoft Office.
Our Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) tutors are available for support throughout the learning process.
